REVEALED: Hindrances to Avoid if You Really Want to Success

THERE are many hindrance and traps you must avoid in your quest for success. This is irrespective of your age, gender or social status. Incredibly, many of us still fall for them. Are you also limited by these hindrances? Infact, what are these hindrances and how do you overcome them?

Poor Mind set

The greatest hindrance to prosperity is believing that only some people can be successful, or that you are not cut out for success. Change that mind set. It can indeed be challenging but change it. You should also be careful the company you keep henceforth. Your company affects your mind set.

Unsound Financial Knowledge 

What you don’t know can kill you unlike what we were told in the past; ignorance is darkness. Seek financial intelligence, read books. I used to be lazy and cared less in this aspect until I realised that I cannot achieve much if I am financially illiterate.

Poor Management and Monitoring of your Expenses

Inability to manage and monitor your expenses will lead to poverty, this is almost guaranteed. By all means, your income should exceed your expense. It is said that about 90% of the world’s population spends more than they earn. Any wonder poverty is so prevalent? Spending more than you earn is borrowing from your tomorrow to spend today. Learn to live on not more than 50% of your income, most wealthy people live on 35%. They invest.

Unhealthy Savings Culture

Lack of a savings and investment culture will give room to poverty and lack. Putting away money as saving gives untold joy and peace of mind, try it.

'Passionlessness'

Nothing takes off the shine from your aspirations like a lack of passion.  Passion is the very engine that oils and drives your engine.

Running Alone: Get a Mentor, get mentors

Everybody needs a coach to guide his/her journey in life. You may need different mentors for different areas of your life: a career mentor, spiritual mentor, financial mentor. It is your responsibility to seek out an experienced and willing mentor.

Running Alone: Improve your Network

Your network determines your net worth.  Lack of the right association can severely limit your possibilities for gaining success at what you do. Most consultancies I run are referrals from my networks. So I deliberately make effort to improve it.

Average Mentality

An average or mediocre spirit cannot achieve outstanding success. Let excellence be your watchword. Surpass expectations.

Winking in the Dark

Not strategically promoting what you do is like winking at a woman in the dark. She doesn’t know what you are up to. The social media provides a wonderful opportunity to do this.
